Jewelry Design Development

For customers who don’t have their own design schematics, we are able to assist in the physical design development if we are provided with a general outline of what is desired for your project. We have in house CAD modeling services available where required.

  • Price: Design development is charged separately from normal prototyping costs at the time of a prototype invoice. Typically we charge between $60 & $250 per design as a one time fee depending on if the design is to be hand drawn or must be modeled in CAD, and the complexity of the design.

  • Requirements: Requirements are very general as we are usually able to work from simple project guidelines. Obviously we appreciate as many specifics as possible. Loose sketches or pictures of a similar piece of jewelry appreciated

  • To send us design work you may either proceed through our normal development channels by submitting a project for quotation through or online form, or by sending us an e-mail with a detailed description accompanied by any sketches, pictures, or other illustrations you may have which help you to describe your concept. Please also include your name, company name (if applicable), address, and phone number so that we may make out an intellectual property agreement protecting your designs. E-mails may be sent to..

Design Requirements

Many customers are simply looking to shift production of a jewelry line already being manufactured and thus already have detailed designs. For these customers, as for other customers who construct their own designs, please consider the following general requirements:

  • Measurements: All designs must contain measurements

  • 2 views: Please attempt to include a minimum of both front and side views

  • Settings: Specify type of setting to be used with gemstones if unclear from the design.

  • If we are unclear on any aspect of the design, we will ask for clarification before proceeding.

Ultimately a clear design will save time and money by letting us capture your concept precisely with as few modifications to the prototype as possible. It always much easier to change things while their still on paper then after physical development has begun.
